Austin is born!
2005-09-AustinBirth (154 images) - Austin was born 4 weeks early at 6:03am on September 3rd; weighing in at 2.566kg (~5.5lbs). Given that he was technically a "premie" with only 36 weeks of gestation, he had underdeveloped lungs when he came out, and had excess residual fluid in them. This combination of smaller lungs, and fluid was too much for him to handle on his own, so he was moved immediately into ICU and put on assisted oxygen within an incubator. This lasted for 8 days. He remained for 3 more days after that (for a total of 11) within the hospital for observation. Gut wrenching for us both to witness him so fragile and in distress, but everything has worked out in the end, and he's home with us now!

Well, is there something a little weird going on here? I don't know about you Altus, but my blog gets pretty cluttered with spammy comments from people. My advice to you as one blog owner to another, is to be patient and focus on the great things about having a blog, instead of all the junk that goes on. You do have a quality blog and appears that you enjoy it. My favorite web project so far is a surfing dvd site, because I have total control and it makes me a couple dollars here and there. It's pretty hard to find new information on surfing dvd stuff though. Hey, keep up your excellent job Altus, and good luck with your projects..
See ya ~
Altus this is great!
It's funny how I was looking for this type of thing and found your post: Austin is born!. It pulled me right out of my researching on surfing dvd info and allowed me to sit down for a nice read. Thanks for your great job Altus. I think I'll hang out on your blog for a while and be done with surfing dvd stuff for now. Have a good day Altus.
