Oshogatsu (New Year) 2006

Most of the New Year Holiday was spent over at the Inlaws. Have to say it was a lot of fun. The expensive bottle of sake that my Father-in-law bought helped a lot as well! We spent our time eating a lot of o-seichi (New Year's food) and drinking a lot of sake. Since I had a lot of time off from work, I spent my free time working on HDR rendering (checkout the HDR section) and playing computer games (Bro got me the new Battlefield2, which is even more addictive than Team Fortress). As a result, I got minimal sleep during this time, as I was up until the wee hours playing...

Christmas 2005

Travus was a good boy this year, so he got the thing he wanted most: A Blue's Clues "Handy Dandy Notebook". Now he can take down the clues in tandem with Steve! Chizuko was a good mommy this year, so Santa got her a Burton 154 Malolo (a hybrid powder/all-mountain board), along with some super-swank Flow-Pro bindings with lightning bolts on the heel plate. She now has a much better kit than I do for the back bowls! Oh, and Austin got the iPod shuffle he'd been asking for just before he was born. Bro and his family came over as well, and we got to spend the morning together opening presents amongst us and the *5* children! Hard to believe we got 5 kids between the two of us now. Just might be six Xmas after next!
